Last year two start-ups won the NOAH London as start-ups: The Work Crowd and misterporter. The Work Crowd, presented by CEO and founder Alice Weightman, focuses on freelancers. It’s a platform which connects freelancers with businesses. That created a global network, which helps to make collaborations much easier – and which gives freelancers many new chances.

Second place of NOAH London was misterporter, presented by founder and CEO Tillan Barros. This start-up helps to find the right solution for rental operations. Users can use misterporter individually, depending on which services are important. Additionally, it offers many more possibilities to use this free app – as a win-win for everyone.

Claudia Nemat, CTO of Deutsche Telekom, states: „Artificial Intelligence will neither lead to the Holy Grail nor to dystopia – but we in Europe have to see it as a wake-up call to stay in touch with this topic.” AI cannot – and should not – be stopped, the important thing is that it will be shaped by Europe, too, and not only by other countries.

Ethical values and a lot of passion in dealing with AI are important for mankind. “If we enhance ourselves we have to look at the things that actually are good for humans”, emphasizes Nemat. There are many possibilities to make life better for everyone – and these are the possibilities start-ups and companies should focus on.
