Prime Minister Xavier Bettel on Sunday evening said that "the title never mattered to me" speaking to RTL about the DP potentially being ousted as the biggest coalition partner. Bettel has been premier for the last ten years.

Luxembourg’s South district posted full results confirming losses for déi Gréng. The CSV remained the strongest force in the district, where 23 seats were up for grabs in total, with seven mandates, followed by the LSAP with six seats.
The DP win a seat to reach four, pinching one mandate from the Greens, who fall from three to two seats. The ADR keep two seats, with the Pirates and déi Lénk holding onto one mandate each.
