"It doesn't look good for them," said Luxembourg City mayor Lydie Polfer about coalition partner déi Gréng's election result so far. Polfer had previously expressed her support for a DP-CSV government, which under current projections would get a majority in parliament. "I said I'm working with the CSV at the level of the commune, and that cooperation works well. We're aligned on several points, and now have to see what the definitive result will be." The DP and CSV govern together in the Luxembourg City hall.

Under first projections, the ADR could become the fourth biggest party in Luxembourg at the end of the count. "We have a positive trend. We’re happy about that and it confirms the feeling we had during the elections campaign," said Fred Keup, the right-wing party's president. "We are cautious, but it looks like we will be the fourth biggest party in Luxembourg tonight, far ahead of the Greens and the Pirates, and that is something very different from what was predicted in the surveys. It’s a strong signal."
