Further than that, the successful accelerator program the Hub incorporates, is further prove of the Romanian ability to innovate. The branches and sectors are generally very diversified and can encompass any from medical to IT / Software Development and startups dealing with agricultural or sustainability topics, for instance.

However, I was explained, that this perception of underestimation simply comes from the fact that there is, related to the absolute population, only a little percentage that engages in forward-thinking topics, which as logic consequence makes it difficult to create the image of a thriving, digitally averse country and put oneself ahead other countries. Another view comprises the fact that there is also a lack of economic and political incentives to appropriately push topics forward and achieve reasonable progress.

We really liked the spirit in the space, the open-minded people, the simplicity of working from everywhere and generally the atmosphere. Apart from that - working again outside our AirBnb Home Office was a lovely change - and the mix of both makes it perfect: social interacting and meeting new people while likewise being flexible in choosing where to work from. #WorkGoals

Last but not least a cool information: As diconium is currently building strong teams also in Romania, offices at this cool place will be rented for employees from July onwards. Isn't that cool?
