Hi again!

Oh, sure - there must be something we forgot to show you: Therefore, may we introduce you to our travel buddy? A brand new Volkswagen T7 Hybrid *still unnamed* - but feel free to vote for the name of our diconium Multivan below.

Our VW doesn't have a name yet. What's your favorite?
The diconium Machine (Scooby Doo is calling)
D.I.C.T. (incl. Super Persuit Mode)
DYLan (like in Drive Your Life)
Black Panda (diconium forever!)
something else...

Since May 8th now, the bus is accompanying our roadtrip and taking us loyally from place to place, putting up with our missing singing talent and the kilograms we encumber with our luggage.

One thing can be anticipated: The bus attracts attention and keeps raising questions like 'what is driving your life' and 'who or what is diconium' - at the end this is what makes everything even more exciting because often we get unintentionally into conversations with various people and exchange on the topic of hybrid working and the roadtrip we do - meeting foreign people and finding a common topic to exchange in most cases results in really great encounters ;-)

And we already had a couple of funny, but also some nerve-wracking moments with the bus: from the narrowest parking garage in Venice (Italy) where we were sent to the 10th floor, to pedestrians stopping in front of us to scan the laminated QR code, there have been quite some experiences.

That has not been all: The Romanian border control stopped us when we crossed the Hungarian-Romanian border at midnight and searched the multivan for anything suspicious (well, nothing found! ;-)). Italian Carabinieri at the border on our way to Trieste (Italy) checked our documents in the most thorough way, searched the van as well and were clearly surprised about conventional single-use BBQs we had which had been provided for us as part of the essential equipment box in the car by diconium.

And lastly not to forget - an unpleasant crack in our windowshield: Unfortunately, a tiny stone decided to kiss our windowshield on the highway which resulted in a crack that got taller and taller and brought us to ordering a new glass to Bukarest which will be replaced this week.
Well, doing epic things also entails epic fails - but we don't mind!

As it is with everything related to roadtrips: the biggest tip and learning is to be flexible, easily adaptable to spontaneously risen occasions and generally see things positively. As long as things are fixable, adaptable or googleable there's no problem we can't solve! :-)

Btw: As we claim working is possible from everywhere, of course we often tested this also in the bus - and it works perfectly (at least for the person NOT driving and as long as the power bank is fully charged ;-).

P.S.: Route update so far:
Ljubljana (SLO)
Trieste (IT)
Venice (IT)
Zagreb (HR)
Budapest (HU)
Oradea (RO)
Bukarest (RO)

Cheers from Romania,
Lisa & Vicky
