This workshop focuses on incidents like the 2015 Paris terror attack and the ways emergency services can prepare for those incidents, especially in cities. Here, problem-solving is much more complicated because cities are so complex by themselves, so you have always be prepared. Dr. Junaid Razzak (Vice Chair of Research at the Department of Emergency Medicine Weill Cornell Medical College), Isabelle Falzone (GRC Thematic Focal Point (DRR, Urban) in MENA German Red Cross), Dr. Shawky Amine Eddine (Director of Learning and development / Assistant EMS director for training and Quality / COVID19 Response Coordinator Lebanese Red Cross), Philippe Testa (Head of the Health and Disaster Risk Reduction Department French Red Cross) and Thomas Smarczyk (Manager Urban pilot projects and Methodologies German Red Cross) look for new solutions and answers in this workshop, based on theoretical frameworks and practical real life examples, and will share their knowledge and their experiences.
