 “We wanted to do something we are really passionate about – so we got ourselves into the food market”, tells Dominik Richter, founder and CEO of HelloFresh. Harley Miller, Vice President of Insight Venture Partners, was impressed by the idea and started to invest - and his own parents are costumers of HelloFresh since the beginning.

“We are the business of the meal solutions, not of merely the ingredients. You pick exactly the food you like and the number of meals you wish in this week, but the inspiration of the meal is the most important thing,” emphasizes Richter. The ingredients come directly from farmers and other providers – but the branding and the inspiration given by HelloFresh are two of the most important parts of this business concept.
