This session explored the COSME project's approach to enhancing climate adaptation and resilience through gender-responsive, socially-inclusive nature-based solutions (NbS) in Kenya’s Kwale and Kilifi Counties. The focus is on building climate-resilient, equitable economies, particularly for women. Key outcomes include adopting NbS for climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction, empowering women with social and financial assets, and improving community resilience through governance. Activities like mangrove restoration, sustainable seaweed cultivation, and community-based forest management (CBFM) will be discussed, highlighting collaboration with local communities, government, and international partners. The session emphasizes inclusive NbS, women's agency, and governance structures.
