19:01
08.10.2023
With seven seats up for grabs in Luxembourg’s East, the CSV has held on to the three seats which it won in the last election in 2018.
The DP has maintained two seats in parliament, and the LSAP one. Déi Gréng, as in the North, lost their seat, which goes instead to the ADR.
Two districts, the North and the East, have now called their final results but the South and Centre constituencies, which together hold 44 seats, remain to be declared in full.

First national projection - government voted out

18:54
08.10.2023
The government has lost its razor-thin majority, according to the first national projection.
The coalition of DP, LSAP and Greens would finish on 30 seats, one short of a majority.
The Greens are the single biggest loser, and could shed between five and six seats, to finish on three or four.
The DP of Prime Minister Xavier Bettel could add two seats, to finish on 14, while the LSAP of Health Minister Paulette Lenert may also reap another two seats, to finish on 12.
The largest opposition party, the CSV, could get between 21 and 23 seats, according to the initial estimates.
Another winner of the election would be the right-wing ADR, which could add one or two seats to its existing tally of four deputies.
The Pirates have underperformed in the polls, according to projections, and are set to win just one additional seat, finishing on three.
The left-wing déi lenk is set to lose one of its two current MPs.
This projection is provisional and may still change over the course of the night.
