This small island was quite something. Despite being just that, a small island, it seemed to have several existing ecosystems. Changing only maybe 20 or 30 meters in altitude gave way to completely different tree species and general feel. It called to memory Alexander von Humboldt’s breakthrough concept of a Naturgemälde. I think he would have liked this island. Oh, and even here we had 4G!
Our nature pause was soon over, and we were back on the road, again somehow just missing being caught in a downpour of rain. Gothenburg here we come.
