The symposium gave the guests from the worlds of politics and society a slew of new insights and perspectives. Irina Mohr, who coordinated the event for the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, concluded that the conference had created a new approach, to think from the starting point of states and societies. The approach is set to become increasingly relevant in future debates, she said. "We now know where to continue to think further." Mohr thanked the team then concluded, "We've achieved one thing today: namely, we are a little clearer about what the next small steps might be." -ls
