How will a changed climate have influence on the humanitarian development nexus? In the last ten years 83% of all disasters were cause by extreme weather and climate-related events, which means that humanitarian needs will increase. This important question will be discussed by these experts:
- Mami Mizutori (Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Disaster Risk Reduction and Head of UNDRR)
- Bärbel Kofler (Federal Government Commissioner for Human Rights Policy and Humanitarian Assistance)
- Dyce Nkhoma (Director of Disaster Risk Reduction in Malawi)
This session is moderated by Maarten van Aalst (Director of the Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Centre). "It is wonderful to be here and to confront all the problems!"
