MINI’s famous S series has become electric. Dr. Broy explains the newest plugin-hybrid, the Cooper S E Countryman All4.
With an overall power of 224 horsepowers and 88 hp at the rear wheels, the new MINI is quite a beast. In order to maximize the electric range the car has an anticipatory energy management which is based on the route topology.

The day starts with a presentation by Dr. Julian Broy from BMW/MINI. He will look back to the development of their newest plug-in hybrid, the Countryman and talk about the challenges of electrification. He will also give us an outlook how the electric future for MINI will look like – from a wiring harness perspective.

An interesting side note:
Started only a few years ago, BMW now expects a sales volume of 150,000 electric cars for 2018.
