Inductive shields and the impact on credit cards

One of the issues that needs to be addressed when realizing an unshielded wiring harness is the magnetic field.
The magnetic field is especially tricky for frequences below 150KHz as in this area the magnetic field will increase – compared to a conventional shielding.

The International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) has set limits that should be respected: "For the consumer this can become a very emotional topic", Mr. Wortberg warns.
A participant asks: "What about a credit cards? Are they affected by the magnetic field?" A question to what Mr. Wortberg has no safe answer yet.
