If functional safety is the main goal, how can we still work with contacts/plugs within the wire harness of a highly autonomous car?
Mr. Morgenroth and Mr. Schneider are looking at another industry which has been well-known for functional safety: The aviation.
While current car checks are not looking at the wiring harness, the aviation industry has obligatory wire/connection checks. The Boing 747 manual also defines that all parts should not be older than 10 years.
