Tjark Bartels, former district chief executive in the Hameln-Pyrmont district, and Péter Niedermüller, Mayor of Erzsébetváros district in Budapest, Hungary, share insights in an exchange moderated by Anne Haller from the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung. All too frequently, these problems stifle political engagement and people withdraw.
