Learnings from recent activations - Panel Discussion

Anticipatory Action practitioners from across the region will present their experiences from recent activations. The panel will discuss AA activations triggered in response to multiple types of shocks, with panellists presenting their experiences, highlighting the impact and learnings from these activations and discussing efforts to scale-up future AA in their respective countries.

The session will present AA activation to a variety of shocks, from monsoon-induced riverbank erosion in Bangladesh and flooding in Nepal to severe winter (Dzud) in Mongolia, summer heatwaves in Pakistan and the storm surge of Tropical Cyclone Tisoy in the Philippines.
