For many of us it is a matter of course, for many it is a dream: a safe and secure home. A sad fact of the pandemic is that people experiencing homelessness are generally more exposed to coronavirus.
For people sleeping on the street or in shared temporary accommodation, self-isolating just isn’t possible. Likewise, for those sofa-surfing or in night shelters, social distancing is impossible. Where self-isolation has been possible, the challenges of loneliness and isolation can feel even greater.
Crisis provides thousands of people across the UK who are homeless, socially isolated, living in deprivation or in crisis with housing and support coordination.
In addition to finding a home and settling in, the charity supports people to learn new skills, find a job or is helping with their health and wellbeing.
Crisis´ mission: Getting people back on their feet and feel ready to take on life again.
