On Workshop Stage we are now talking about how we can bridge the gender gap. The panel attendees are discussing topics like the underrepresentation of female founders, what women can do to support and encourage fellow women and how to present yourself in the still male-dominated founding and investment world.
"Because a lot of female founders are here, a bit of advice from me: Don't start to introduce yourself with something like your first internship, start with your vision and where you see yourself in the future! Sometimes you just have a couple of sentences to make a first impression, you don't want a potential investor to remember your internship", Maru Winnacker, founding partner of the Super Group emphasises in front of the 99 percent female audience.
Alexandra Frean, Head of Corporate Affairs at Starling Bank, is entertaining with witty comments about how she answers some of the frequently asked, big male questions, like: "How can I invest more into female founders?"
"Well, I tell them: Just invest more into female founders!", she quotes and says, that when being interrogated how she managed to employ so many females, she simply answers: Just by hiring them.
