Andreas Bodczek is the CEO at IDnow. The Munich based company offers services around checking identities. These services includes checking identities via video chat, via an automated AI system and an electronic signature process. The tools of IDnow can be used in websites, apps or at the point of sale.

Bodczek explains: „The internet has been around for a long time, but it is only now that we see high volume transactions, such as opening a bank account, checking into hotels or renting a car.“ With these new applications, the danger of fraud and abuse is high. That's why identity checks are required. „We feel that this is a very strongly growing market and are therefore raising a series-B round [$20m+].“

Most of businesses in the communication sector have been re-defined: Emails, chats and storage solutions. But the phone still often remains oldschool, explains Anguelov.
aircall aims to revolutionize this industry. With over 200 employees and $41m in venture funding, the company provides a phone in the cloud: „With aircall everyone can set up a phone from anywhere in the world within a minute.“
Phone calls can be made with a computer application or phone app. „This offers our users the flexibility to call and take calls at any time.“

Users are assisted by a smart system that aims at automizing workflows. One example is setting up a follow-up meeting during a call: „We already know the people you’re calling to and have their email address in our system.“ Within seconds during the call an email with an invitation for the follow-up meeting can be sent out to all participants.
