Martin Willcox comes down to three insights:

• Teradata is best in what it does, but there will be a change in how it reflects the changing marketplace;
• develop yourself to be a good consultant for your customer;
• focus also means reponsibility - we are accountable for our customer success.

And by the way: the customer is always right... so focus on him and his ideas!

Like Ruth Rudwick Martin Willcox also emphasizes the different roles in Sales. Roles like Ecosystem Architect or Solution Engineer can concentrate on different parts of the process. 

"We have to change and stop just talking about what we can do - and simply do it instead. Make our hands dirty, really experience it", explains Willcox. This is also important for Solution Engineers, who should get close to all the new possibilities around.
