The drive for continuously improved customer experiences influences the requirements for digital signage. Various data flows created by sensors find their way into digital touchpoint concepts. How sensors enhance digital signage is one of the major topics at this years DSS ISE “The year ahead conference”.
Intel is one of the leaders in IoT and offers various technology platforms and services relevant for digital signage. Invidis and ISE have invited Intel to DSS ISE to present how IoT is enabling digital touchpoints to offer more personalized services. The impact of sensors is huge and by far not limited to autonomous vehicles, even they share the same sensor platform as many digital signage projects.
An example of sensor driven digital experiences is Emirates Airlines and the world’s first ‘biometric path’. The new sensors-based platform will offer customers a smooth and seamless airport journey at the airline’s hub in Dubai International airport. Emirates passengers will soon be able to check-in for their flight, complete immigration formalities, enter the Emirates Lounge, and board their flights, by simply walking through different airport touchpoints.
