Matthias Scheffelmeier, Ashoka, tells a little story: imagine a 7-year-old boy sitting at the table, drawing a picture. The parents are confused - what is it? Then they realized: it was a drawing of the European roadmap, completely memorized by the boy, who had Asperger - Thorkil Sonnes son. Thorkil Sonne decided to put his son's Asperger into a new possibility and to turn people like his son into specialists instead of autists - and Ashoka is part of that.
Ashoka's mission is supporting social entrepreneurship. This is done by offering a global startup program, providing access to funds and helping to connect the founders.
