By introducing a huge cloud of potential pickup and drive-to points, the matching is hugely complex. „Our infrastructure is really the data. The entire system adapts to real-time traffic.“ To predict and route the shuttles as efficient as possible, Via is using machine learning and AI. The goal is to get as much people as possible on board of a shuttle driving down a route.

Via is an Israeli originated company, mostly operating in the US.
Daniel Ramot begins his presentation by showing an image of a traffic jam: „That’s the problem we are solving. Our existing transportation system is often not efficient." But cities like London or New York show that if the infrastructure gets better, people are using it and are driving less with a car. In the cities mentioned over 50% of citizens commute by public transportation.

The solution of Via is a network of dynamic shuttles. The service introduces a very dense grid of virtual shuttle stops and thereby bringing public transportation to people who before have lived far off an underground or bus station.

In addition to their core business, the Frontier Car Group is building services as layers on top:
“We build an ecosystem for costumers and businesses”, emphasizes Tyle.

• E.g. if a car is not sold by the dealer within 30 days, Frontier Car Group takes it back.
  
• Offering financial support in buying a car increases the selling of cars: "We like to enable car dealers to buy four or five cars at once, rather then allow them to just buy two cars and wait for him to sell it."
  
• Buying cars from fleets is another example for an additional service – „It currently is often done by a fleet manager inserting each deal into classifieds – we can do it in bulk and probably in an hour.“
