We’re delighted to be joined by Jorge Martin, a talented graphic recorder and illustrator, joining us live from the beautiful countryside of Castile, Spain.
Jorge has been part of D&C Days for many years, bringing our events to life through his unique way of visual storytelling.

He’s here today to take our event reporting to the next level by capturing the essence of D&C Days and our key insights and messages through a combination of drawings and words.

We’ll be checking in with Jorge at several points during the day to see how his artwork is unfolding.

And who knows — if you share a particularly insightful comment or creative idea, it might just find its way into his illustration: keep a lookout!

We're excited to start D&C Days 2025! More than 900 participants from around the world will be joining us for this event.

We are welcoming grassroots representatives, development practitioners, funders and policymakers. Our online format means D&C Days 2025 is accessible to all, not just those attending COP30.

Registration is still open - sign up and join us to discuss how we can work together to turn climate ambition into action.

Our opening plenary starts at 9:00 GMT.

This liveblog is where we will post updates about the event: what's coming up and some quick snapshots from our sessions.  So be sure to check in regularly!

May Thazin Aung says the online format opens up access for global voices.

She says: "Since 2002, D&C Days has provided a physical space for challenging in-person conversations about adaptation that have helped to build trust within the D&C Days community of practice."

With COPs getting increasingly difficult to access, we've not been able to reach everyone in this community. It’s exciting that we’re able to open this space up for more people to have the difficult conversations that we need to really transform adaptation. May is a Senior Researcher at IIED, and will be hosting Session 3A, Adaptation finance in uncertain times. 12:11
