Thursday morning I had a pitch for our Data Product for the Stuttgart office. Luckily 9am in Germany was 10am in Finland, so I was already quite fresh ;). We are thinking to build a bit around the synthetic data realm, an incredibly interesting and ripe field, set to grow exponentially over the next ten years.

After another solid day, we headed south to Mariehamn, we were going there to experience some of the #sustainability living that takes place here, specifically through a set of secondhand stores, and now during the summer, a Thursday evening flea market. I have to say, this was a bit underwhelming, as apart from the 5 or 6 older ladies displaying obviously intricate plates and cups, and potentially priceless garments, there were nothing to be found. We did stumbled into the larger store located nearby, they had a better selection indeed, and I can see how this would be a classic “go-to” if you would live here. We looked at a few things but in the end nothing will come home with us, not even that beautiful cat mug… Fede…

On the way back from Mariehamn, it was around 10 or 11pm and we noticed there were just so many animals out and about. This set the course for our next day of adventure: namely, driving as far west as possible, and then finding as many animals as we could on the way back. We watched the sunset against a brilliant cloud-filled sky, and our deer count was already in double digits. We saw maybe 15 more on the way back, to go with 5 cranes, a small moose, 3 cats, a seal, swans with their young, and a hedgehog.
