What will the future bring for the community of anticipatory action (AA)? This session dares to take a sneak peak – and to time travel. Irene Amuron and Bettina Koelle, RCRC Climate Centre, guided us through the headline game, which aimed to help to develop a shared vision for the AA community in the years to come. How should a good headline look for 2022? Short and catchy to the point of course! What did the participants create? What were the headlines of the future? “Acting ahead is the new default”, “1 million lives protected!”, or “The storm is over before it comes”. More examples? “Cyclone Amphan ate my hamster - but early action saved my house” or “AA from buzzword to concrete actions”. What was your favorite headline? “No more BS” was Kara Siahaan´s favourite! Let’s hope it comes true for 2022.
