Tracy Kajumba summed up the discussion in the plenary session:

"Global inequality and inclusivity issues continue to rise, in the world and here at COP26. 

"We at #DCdays21 need to be aware, and genuinely listen to marginalised voices. There are a lot of initiatives - we need a common stance and common initiatives. Think local, but act global."

This has been called the Nature COP... not because of what is on the official agenda, but because it is what everyone is talking about. The opening plenary used cartoons to stimulate discussion. This cartoon got participants talking about fashion,  'greenwashing' and disposable coffee cups...
