Autonomous driving increases the complexity of wire harness and leads to an increase in the number of utilized plugs. As a consequence, plug suppliers are facing the challenge to minimize failures.

Mr. Neumann explains how KOSTAL mimizes the failure rate of connectors:

• Silver plated contact with nickel barrier

• Detection of correct contact position in the housing
