My biggest challenge in anticipatory action is the discrepancy involving the ‘science from the Global North’ vs empowering African based scientists to develop their own solutions. This capacity is usually not within African meteorological services and institutions and is currently not matching our need for science participatory action so we need research to be African-based so it can be turned into operational systems within Africa.
