Accountability in anticipatory action means being answerable to risk-affected populations through project design and implementation.
START Network and the Centre for Disaster Protection is doing research that looks at how accountability to affected populations is currently being implemented in different types of risk financing systems, specifically in Pakistan, Senegal, Kenya and Madagascar.

We discussed the opportunities for better accountability in risk modelling, in contingency planning and in triggering and implementation.
