Ms. Hang Thi Thanh Pham, FAO Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific, Senior Resilience Officer, asked H.E Samheng Boros, Ministry of Social Welfare, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation in Cambodia, for his key takeaways for the Anticipatory Action shock responsive social protection agenda: “Disasters are executed in different ways, we need to be ready to respond, to understand are the populations impacted the most vulnerable and is the system ready? Before there were many questions about the use of social protection, but now most ministries see the benefits. However, we cannot do this alone, we do not have the capacity to work alone, and need to work collaboratively, especially at regional level.”
