Marco Rodzynek talks to Anne Boden, CEO of Starling Bank, and "one of the most charismatic entrepreneurs ever known", as Rodzynek puts it. Starling Bank is a UK mobile-only bank offering personal, joint and business accounts. Previously operating only in the UK, the company is now planning to expand to the rest of Europe, too. "We are very excited about that", says Boden.
There are all kinds of services offered by Starling Bank. Would it be a good idea to take over another bank, like a legacy bank? "It is great when you already have people who know the culture", explains Boden. "But it is also a big challenge."
