Philip Morris International is currently in the middle of this process. It first started with key business challenges, which means new product categories, a changed B-2-C Model, putting the customer at the core and much more decisions.

Philip Morris International is just facing a huge transformation: from a company of the tobacco industry into a company with smoke-free products. This is not only a change in products, it is also a change of the way the future is formed. These new products, the new approach to the consumer and a new hunger of insights need a new way to handle teams and to deal with data – because latter accelerate the transformation. To manage this the company has set up an Enterprise Analytics and Data (EAD) business in 2017, with the goal to transform PMI into a data-driven company, expanding the company by this.
