AUTO1 - Solving two problems at once

Hakan Koç, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of AUTO1, tells in a fireside chat with Marco Rodzynek, that he still cannot believe the huge success of his company: “First we sold 8 cars – and from that it really hit off so fast, we couldn’t believe it.”

AUTO1 was truly one of the greatest rockets of the last years – and still going strong. What explains the success? “We saw two big problems”, explains Koç, “The first one is that people searched for an easy way to sell their car. We were in a good position, because we could offer a new business model for this. But we also solved the second problem: as a car dealer you need stock – and we could offer that." And even more: AUTO1 can offer the right car at the right moment for the car dealers.

GETT – „The only company in our area that is on track to become profitable.“

The first session of today is opened by a guest who regular NOAH participants may have seen before. Dave Waiser from the GETT is chatting with Marco Rodzynek.

The company started 9 years ago in Israel, providing an app for consumers to get a taxi. It now operates internationally in more than 100 cities and has in total raised about $700m in capital. Compared to UBER, LYFT and other services, Dave replies: „We are globally the only company in our area that is on track to become profitable.“

He also states, that GETT is the only company to successfully run different business models at the same time. What started with a focus on consumers and still is very strong in b2c has also been applied into the b2b market. „The focus is on b2b. We build the best technology behind mobility infrastructure and help companies to become more effective.“ As the company’s website states, over 7,000 companies worldwide are currently using GETT’s technology.
