Éric Larchevêque is the CEO of Ledger - and today he talks to Ben Tompkins, the Managing Director of Droper Esprit, about the challenging businesses aroung cryptocurrency.
The mission of Ledger is to secure crypto assets by storing them on a hardware wallet. Ledger already sold over half a million units - so what is his long-term vision? "We want to secure the transactions of our costumers - an expanding market in the next years", explains Larchevêque. The challenges in doing so is high: „It’s all about the user experience and trust. Our customers often don’t know a lot about crypto.“
Asked in general about the future of blockchain technology and where the technology might be used, he replies: "Currently it is all about speculations, so it’s hard to predict the future." But one prediction he is stating is: "The future is about tokenization." Larchevêque predicts first applications tokenizing the Dollar in the next few months.
